Today we are publishing a new report on Affordable Childcare in Bristol. Exploring how to address the challenge of affordable childcare and nurseries in the city was identified as a Top 3 priority for the City Office in 2019.
The report outlines the role of affordability, quality and flexibility of childcare across Bristol. Using the ideas of collaborative and collective action that are at the forefront of the One City Plan, the review proposes three potential schemes for implementation to tackle this complex issue at the city level.
The City Office will continue to work with partners in 2020 to progress the findings.
The report was written by Zeyno Yurddas and Talulah Kingston on behalf of the City Office.
