Business West has recently published their Quarterly Economic Survey for Quarter 1 of 2024. This is one of the longest running surveys of its kind which is used by the Bank of England as one of the first economic indicators of each quarter.
The survey found ongoing challenges and emerging opportunities for the economic environment of the Southwest. Businesses were reported as noticing a widening gap between how they expect their business to perform and their expectations for the UK’s economy which means businesses have to work harder to meet their goals.
